“You Are Holy / Prince Of Peace”

[Verse 1:]
You are holy (you are holy)
You are mighty (you are mighty)
You are worthy (you are worthy)
Worthy of praise (worthy of praise)

[Verse 2:]
I will follow (I will follow)
I will listen (I will listen)
I will love you (I will love You)
All of my days (all of my days)

[Chorus (men):]
I will sing to, and worship
The King who is worthy
I will love and adore Him
And I will bow down before Him

I will sing to, and worship
The King who is worthy
I will love and adore Him
And I will bow down before Him

[Chorus (women):]
You are lord of lords
You are king of kings
You are mighty god
Lord of everything

You’re Emmanuel
You’re the great I am
You’re the prince of peace
Who is the lamb

You’re the living God
You’re my saving grace
You will reign forever
You are ancient of days

You are alpha, omega
Beginning and end
You’re my savior, messiah,

Redeemer and friend

[Ending:]
You are my prince of peace, and I will live my life for you.

One of the names of Jesus is Prince of Peace. In Isaiah 9:6, “For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders: And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.”

The peace that passes all understanding comes from God. At work surrounded by stress, one can send an arrow prayer and feel peace that passes all understanding. We live in a world filled with stress, strive, conflict, and hate.  In Matthew 5:9, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”   Nothing calms the savage soul like shalom–the peace of God. Jesus establishes peace, not by brutally squashing defiance to His rule, but by practicing submissions and meekness to make defiance pointless, so that through His death, we as sinful people might be reconciled to a Holy God. In His death, therefore, Jesus accomplished what made Him Prince of Peace. And in His resurrection, He was crowned Prince of Life. Jesus bids farewell with a message of peace so that we, and all who follow the Prince of Peace, might be children of peace.

John 14:27′  “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Take your fears to the Prince of Peace. He is our everything.  Thank you Lord for being our Prince of Peace.
