Gratitude

Be Thankful-11

Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, (1)

Today is Veteran’s Day, a time to thank the men and women who served or are serving in the military. My father served in World War II and he is 89 years of age. My brother served in the Viet Nam War. My brother was a hero, he has suffered from Post Traumatic Stress to the war. He was not honored when he came home however, he was recently honored in Reno, Nevada. I am so proud to know my dad and my brother.

There are so many who fought for our freedom. They sacrificed their lives so that we have freedom. We have freedom in Christ.

The above verse says, “Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God.” How can we make thankfulness a sacrifice to God?

T=Thoughtful.  Daily, we are more thoughtful.

H=Hope. Daily, God is our hope and we can offer our hope to others.

A=Adore. Daily, we can adore or show adoration to others.

N=New. Daily, God’s mercies are new every morning.

K=Kindness. Daily, we can show kindness.

F=Faithful. Daily, as we are faithful, God will use us to offer hope to others.

U=Unfailing, Daily we have God’s unfailing love, mercy, and grace.

L=Love. Daily, we love God because He first loved us.

N=Needs. Daily, He Meets our needs.

E=Encourage. Daily, we can encourage others in word and deed.

S=Secure. Daily, we are secure in our salvation.

S=Sanctified. Daily, God sanctified us and we are to make thankfulness our sacrifice to God.

Father God, today I ask that we make today count. That we make thankfulness a way of life. I am in awe of your Majesty. Lord, I pray for those that are serving in the military that you keep them safe.

I am thankful for the people that are serving in the military.

Your turn, what are you thankful for?

Blessings.
