C-Courage to face the unknown when facing change.

H-Honor God with the changes He ask you to make.

A-Await for God’s answer when seeking a change.

N-Never rush ahead of God with changes.

G-Give credit to God when change occurs and He gives you mercy.

E-Encourage others to go to God when facing change.

The year 2009, an illness knocking the wind out of my sails, changes occurring as we had lost our house to the housing market mess. Several bad loans no way out, a bankruptcy, lies from a lawyer, and now a chance to change my job. All I need is an interview. Scared, what if I interview and I am not chosen, what if I interview and my current boss finds out? Oh the “What If”? Beloved, what are your “What If’s”? Have you needed to make some changes and the “IF ONLY” and the “WHAT IF’s” stop you because of fear? Time for the interview, I hear the questions, one of the questions,”Where will you be in five years?” I hear my answer, “I will be here.” Some what, presumptuous. I have been at the job five years plus.

[Tweet “Change is hard, and changes can occur daily, every change is better if we involve God in the change. “]

I am reading a great book, Unglued  by Lysa Terkeurst. She says, “Imperfect changes are slow steps of progress wrapped in grace……imperfect progress. Beloved, can you related to imperfect progress?

Yes,each one of us needs courage to face the unknown, to honor God, to await God, to never rush ahead, to give credit to God, to encourage others to embrace change.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17

We do know that Jesus never changes. Jesus is the same yesterday

Are you on Periscope and did you see the videos Lysa did from Israel recently? There was one showing where David would have met Goliath and the brook he would have got the stones from.

First up, I gotta love a post that starts with an acrostic!

Secondly, I always thought I loved change. Until I had to go through a heartbreaking change. Now I understand people’s hesitation to change their lives. But, I will say this: my God has never let me down, and even through change, later on I could see how He used it to bring good things in my life.

He says “fret not,” an awful lot in His Word. But really … we shouldn’t fret. He’s got this!

fear of change is what often keeps us from stepping into what God has for us! Thanks for sharing this encouragement.
