Command: Walk in Love

Struggling to walk has a new meaning since I had my knee replaced on November 21, 2016. Today at physical therapy, riding a bicycle for the first time. Progressing from a walker to a cane all small steps in my recovery. We are to walk in love and to walk in obedience. Hand in hand. love and obedience. Can you really have one without the other? The command Jesus gave us was from the beginning. The command was to love one another. We are to love each other. And then we are to walk in obedience to his commands. TO WALK IN LOVE.

Beloved, who is God asking you to love?  Are you struggling with your morning devotions? Are you struggling reading God’s word daily? Do you need to repent and confess and come closer to the Lord? I am struggling to walk but as I put one foot in front of the other I gain strength. Today as I stretched my knee and strengthened the muscles I was able to bend it further. Oh yes it still hurt, but it was a good pain, a healing pain. The kind of pain that you know God is behind. James 4: 7-8 says, “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
