I love Proverbs 31 ministries. We start May 24, 2014 reading #Limitless Life, You Are More Than Your Past, When God Holds Your Future. By Derwin L. Gray

  • I love the title of the book, so what does a limitless life look life, when God  holds your future. Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.”  Moses wrote in Psalm 90:12, ” Teach us to number our days, that we may present to Thee a heart of wisdom.”   I love promises that proclaims we are more than our past. Psalm 139:14 says, “I (Diana) will give thanks to Thee (God), for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, wonderful are Thy works. And my soul knows it very well.”  In verse 16 of the same Psalm, ” Thine eyes have seen my unformed substances; And in Thy book they were all written, the day that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them.”  Lastly God does not condemn me for my past, “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12.

If we dwell on our past and feel condemned, that condemnation is from Satan, God convicts us, we need to remember: Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

Proverbs 31 blog hop this week asks two questions? What does community mean to me? What do I need from community?

Just the title of this book echoes a healing in my life  that God wants for me and the many others in the Proverbs 31 community.  Community defined in an online dictionary: community is people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common. The second definition is a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals?

The second definition is a feeling of fellowship with others, as a results of sharing common attitudes, interest and goals. This is what Proverbs 31 ministry provides, I know when I asked for prayer, women will pray and I feel like I belong to a group of women that share my beliefs.  I cherish my the fellowship with Group 35. The authors who write and encourage us daily such as Lysa TerKeurst, Tracie Miles, Wendy Pope are amazing women.  The community would not be complete without our leaders  Melissa Taylor, Nicki Koziarz, Stephanie Raquel. Thanks to all the volunteers.

Lastly, what do I need from community? I need encouragement, I want my voice  heard. I need to pray and be prayed for in my time of need. I need to feel love.  Just as four men in Mark 2 lowered the paralytic man , so Jesus could speak health, and encouragement in his life. This community at Proverbs 31 speaks health and encouragement in my life. I am looking forward to the healing I will receive from the study of this book and the community as we read #Limitless Life. Hi there, I am dropping by from the Blog Hop. I love the different versus you shared, and I have also come to greatly appreciate all the women who make this online ministry possible (as well as the men, supportive husbands, etc.). I am looking forward to how the Lord is going to use this online community through this next study!
