Connection

Tuesday at Ten

Many of you know that my ministry at my church is helping women to find freedom in Christ. Christ set us free when He died on the cross for our sins and He conquered death enabling us to have eternal life. This gift of freedom includes: Freedom from irrational thoughts, condemning thoughts, compulsive behavior, personal conflict, spiritual struggle, despair, and any type of personal or spiritual bondage.

I connected with a woman today to lead her through the Steps to Freedom. I love when God brings someone in your life you would have never met.

Job is a book in the Old Testament. Job had everything going for him until one day when Satan approached God and God gave permission for Satan to test Job. The saying, “The patience of Job” comes from this book of the Bible; Job refused to condemn God. Satan is allowed to destroy his family, his wealth, and his health. In James 5:11 we read,

As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

Job is a book of suffering, of friends trying to blame Job that he must have done something wrong. Beloved, Job did nothing wrong. Yet Job had to be reminded that God is God. God is good all time. We live in a fallen world, we do not always make the right choices. When we make poor choices, Satan loves to needle us and we feel condemnation. Sometimes, we go through pain and it is no ones fault. We have to trust God during these times of suffering just as Job trusted God and would not find fault with God.

As I connected today with this sister in the Lord, we connected at a level many friends rarely connect. She shared her pain and was real before God.  We read God’s word, we claimed God’s word, and we prayed for freedom from condemning thoughts. The Steps to Freedom provided her an opportunity to connect with God, the Wonderful Counselor, and  the Creator of the Universe.  The Steps are a means of resolving personal and spiritual conflict and God is the author of forgiveness and He gives freedom.

What personal conflict might you resolve if you connected honestly with God? Are you connecting with God daily, trusting God with your emotional pain?

Father God, thank you for today, where I saw Your Goodness, Mercy, and Love. Lord, just as Job never blamed you he had to be reminded that You were His Redeemer. I know that My Redeemer Lives.  I know that you created everything including me. Oh. Lord how I take you for granted, how I try to put you into my human box of understanding. When I look at the stars at night and realize that you created the galaxies of the world and then that you are mindful of me, You know the number of hairs on my head, and you catch my tears and store them in heaven. I am in awe of Your Majesty. Thank you that I have connected with Yon and those that are reading this post. Thank You for the freedom to be a connection that encourages women to be free in Christ.
