Day-10 Advent

The God of peace be with you all. Amen.Romans 15-13

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27

In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. “This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,

“Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.” Luke 2: 8-14

Sheep are not the smartest animals that is why they need a shepherd to care for them. These shepherds were out in the field watching over their flocks when an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them. What would have been your reaction? They were afraid? They needed peace. They need their hearts to not be troubled.

We are likened to sheep. Our shepherd is Jesus. We do not have to be afraid. He has given us peace. Light your candles tonight and celebrate that we have peace from our Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ.

Beloved, are your experiencing peace. Will you accept the challenge in the verse below. Hebrews 13:20-21

Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord, equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
