Adoration, praise, names of God and Jesus, all of this to say I adore you Jesus. In 2 Peter 1:19, “Until. the day-star arise in your hearts,” the word is literally, “light-bringer.” It is applicable, therefore, not only to the planet Venus, seen as a morning star, herald of the dawn, but to the sun itself, and used here as a title of our Lord. “Day-star” happens to apply to both to Jesus or Satan. However, in this verse, it is the title of our Lord.
Daily, I enjoy sunrises and sunsets. Some are more spectacular than others. Beloved, God is the most amazing artist. The sky declares his glory. Almost like we do when we praise God in our prayer time. Sometimes when my friend and I would pray we would build our praise off one another and the praise would become all-inclusive of our prayer time.
Day-star shine your light into my relationship with you. Look into the nook and crevices of my heart. Are there any dark places? Any lies that I am believing that I need to renounce? Any habits I need to forsake? Any thing I need to change?
In the morning when I rise, give me Jesus Day-Star.
