Dream

Then he had another dream, and he told it to his brothers.  Soon Joseph had
another dream, and again he told his brothers about it. (Genesis 37:9)

Do you dream? Do you remember your dreams? Do you have dreams about your future?

Becky Tirabassi encourages you to dream, to describe and define your dreams. She has a Change Your Life Journal with eight steps that you process daily and writing about your dream is the last entry.

Joseph was a dreamer, he was always telling his brothers about his dreams. The problem was the dreams were about the brothers serving him instead of him serving his brothers. You see Joseph’s father loved him and favored him because he was born to Rachel. This made the brother’s angry enough to plot against him. “Behold the dreamer comes!” the brothers declared.

I struggle with dreaming because I do have fears. Fears of being a failure, fear that pain will limit me, fear that I will not succeed.

While in prison, he interpreted dreams but he still had to wait two more years before he was finally remembered by the cup-bearer. The Pharaoh started having dreams and the cup-bearer remembered Joseph.

Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, “The dreams of Pharaoh are one and the same. God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do. (Genesis 41:25)

Pharaoh believed Joseph and Joseph was released from prison and became an important man to run the government preparing for the famine that was predicted. The famine brought Joseph and his family back together. If you have never read the story it is touching to see how forgiveness leads them to reconcile. If Joseph had never shared his dreams, they would have all perished in the famine.

DREAM

D-Discover your potential.

R-Realize your dreams are God’s marching orders.

E-Embrace the dream.

A-Anticipate the dream coming true.

M-Make your dreams come true.

Father God, you allow us to have these dreams that begin with just a fleeting thought. You did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. Lord, sometimes I am too afraid to act on my dreams, let me be bold in my approach because all things are possible through you because I have been called according to your purpose.  We only need to believe. Father I ask for the woman reading this that You help them believe.

For me I believe that Jesus came, died on a cross and he is risen from the grave and because He lives  I can face tomorrow.

Beloved, what is your dream?

    Visiting from Tuesday at Ten!

Such truth, too often we put more energy into what we’re afraid of.

    Great post!
