Five Minute Friday-Change

20140609_060102

Five Minute Friday a time to write five minutes with no editing, the only rule is to read other post and encourage one another. The word today is Change. I read the email last night and began to think about the word change. My friend Dr. Nick says, “We have to change the way we see before we can change the way we look.” Becky Tirabassi from Change Your Life.com says, “Change begins with awareness.” Many people want things to remain the same and not to change. Women go through “the change of life” when menopause occurs. I personally call this time “mental-pause>”

So here are my thoughts on CHANGE.

Go

God is the only one who does not change. In Hebrews 13:8 Jesus is the same yesterday and today and forever. I am thankful for the changes in my life. I changed jobs in 2010 and I have the best job as a nursing case manager. I changed my outlook on food, I have to eat but I no longer live to eat. I change my thoughts by taking the negative one to the Lord. Each day is a gift and changes may happen but God is already in our tomorrow so we do not have to worry. If God is for me, who can be against me, and nothing can separate me from the love of God. Embrace change because a new adventure awaits when the change occurs.

Stop

Five minutes go so fast. In James 1:17, “Don’t be deceived my dear brothers (sisters). Every good and perfect gift is from above coming down from the father of heavenly light who does not change like shifting shadows. The note from Dr. Ryrie on James 1:17 states God is the source of all light physical intellectual moral and spiritual and He does not change.
I spent my time with the Lord this morning looking up verses on change. I am so thankful that God does not change. But when change is necessary in my life, he enables me to make the changes without too much pain.

What area of your life do you need to change? Are you in God’s word daily? God cares about every detail of your life.

Father God, I have to admit that change is hard. Sometimes the routine is what we want we do not want to change. For the person who is struggling with change, let them embrace the promise that you will never leave them or forsake them. CHANGE Courage, Hope, Attitude, Newness, Grace and Energy. Lord when I seek you, I am filled with courage and hope, my attitude improves and I walk in the newness of the changes because of your grace, my energy is restored. Blessings.

There is so much hope and truth in the fact that God never changes. There is always something changing in life, so to know that God is unchanging offers stability and comfort. Very nice post. Stopped by from Five Minute Friday.
