Five Minute Friday A time to write for five minutes no correcting, then link up with some amazing writers.

Forget -Me-Knot flowers are some of the most beautiful flowers.  The word of the week is “forget!”

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits Psalm 103:2

The opposite of forget is remember. The older I am I seem to forget more things.  It is the short-term memory that concerns me, you know the kind, where you go into the next room for something, and by the time you get there you have forgotten what you wanted. I call this mental pause. Does this tell you my age?

The Lord is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient, yes all-knowing. However, in this same Psalm 103: 11-12

For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;

as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Beloved, what this is saying is God remembers our sins but chooses to not hold our sins against us? As far as those who hurt us, after we forgive them, forgetting is remembering but the pain is not so great.

Lord, I choose to forgive______for_______and it made me feel_________.

Forget-Me-Knot my friend, beloved, God never will leave us or forsake us.

Stop.

God is all-knowing and ever-present  Psalm 139

God is loving and faithful                      Psalm 23, 42, 51

God is great and sovereign                    Psalm 33, 89, 96

God is merciful and forgiving               Psalm 32, 111, 130

God is righteous and just                       Psalm 71, 97, 113

    Love the use of flowers, Diana. I’m actually pleased to see yours. I purchased some seeds labeled forget-me-nots and I think I was the recipient of a mean trick. 🙂 These flowers have burrs. The seeds when I planted them did resemble kiwi fruit…all spiky…and then the plants gave us the burrs.
    How wonderful to reflect on God’s forgiveness and how the peace of forgiveness helps us forget the intensity of the wounds others cause!
