Jesus called his twelve disciples together and gave them authority to cast out evil spirits and to heal every kind of disease and illness. Matthew 10:1
This Saturday I learned something new about the time when God shared His power at Passover. The Israelites were to spread the blood of the lamb over the doorways and to eat the lamb to prepare for the journey to leave Egypt. The outcome is the Israelites left Egypt well and they were protected from the death angel. They were healed of their sins. The blood of the lamb healed them. Fast forward to communion today, as we break bread and partake of the bread we eat his broken body and we are healed. We drink the blood and we are forgiven of all our sins. Lastly, if we are healed then we can take it a step further and claim 2 Chronicles 7:14
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Beloved, we need a revival and our land needs to be healed. Reminds me of the song, Let There Be Peace on Earth. Let it begin with me.
Father God, heal my body and heal our land. In Jesus’ name Amen
