American Idol’s 2016 just declared the winner. This show produces singing star such as Carrie Underwood, all the men and women come with one thing in common, they come and audition with hope that they are the next “American Idol .” This year came I was hopeful that Trent would win and he did win. I liked the other singer both were winners, they each received a contract and a new car and Trent is the last American Idol full of hope.
God is HOPE. He is Holy, Omnipotent, Powerful, Everlasting.
Isaiah in Isaiah 6 says:
Isaiah’s Vision of the Lord in His Glory
Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called out to another and said, “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the LORD of hosts, The whole earth is full of His glory.”And the foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him who called out, while the temple was filling with smoke.…
God is love and hope.
For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13: 12-13
A lighthouse is a beacon to a boat out in the sea to signal the shore is near. God is our hope, our lighthouse, our beacon. He gives us hope when we feel hopeless and helpless. When we need light on our path, he is the light in the lighthouse. If we have lost our direction, he is the beacon to lead us home.
Lastly, hope is my word this year and Romans 15:13 is my verse. God fills me with joy and peace and I trust in him. I am full of hope. Beloved, when asked to give an answer from whom does your hope comes from who will you say? How are you filled with hope? What do you do daily to ensure your peace and trust?
