I am God’s Child.

Read John 1: 12-13

Beloved you are a child of God if Jesus is your Lord and Savior. These verses confirm that God considers you his daughter. So how do you respond to being the child of God?

How do you become a child of God? Jesus is God’s son and it says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only son so that all who believe in him may become the son of God and have everlasting life.” So we have to ask Jesus to forgive us our sins and to live in our hearts.

Why would you want to become a child of God’s? We immediately gain eternal life and we are dwelled by the Holy Spirit when we accept Jesus as our Savior. The Holy Spirit is our comforter. He confirms within our being that we are God’s child.

What happens to you as the child of God? Daily, we can see God working in our lives. He loves us so much. Henry Blackaby says that God is at work all around us and he invites us to join him in his work. So he wants us to be involved in telling others about how to be a child of God.

So have you accepted Jesus as your Savior? Then beloved, you are a child of God and we need to celebrate our lives knowing that we are his daughters.

If you are accepting Jesus for the first time, please email me at blessingsrockwell@gmail.com so I can send you a bible. If you have any questions about being a child of God, please feel free to contact me at the above email.

Daily Challenge: Write on a note card John 3: 16 and start memorizing this verse.

Our response to being God’s child should be one of gratitude.

Father God, thank you that I am a child of God. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

This brings to mind Luke 15:7.
I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. Luke 15:7
