I often wonder ………..  is the writing prompt from Tuesday at Ten. My first thought was that song “I Wonder Wonder Who Wrote the Book of Love.” Written in 1958 by the Montones, I love singing this song. I am a fan of the Oldies Music perhaps because I am a child of the 50’s.  However, I do not have to wonder who wrote the real book of love because the real book of love is the BIBLE. All scripture is the inspired word of God according to 2 Timothy 3: 15-17

All Scripture is God-Breathed
15and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

As a child, I was very curious and I often wondered what I would grow up to be? Doris Day asked several questions in the song “Que Sera Sera: “What will I be? Will I be pretty? Will I be rich? The song lyrics questions young love, “What lies ahead?” “Will we have rainbows day after day?” The song continues with the chorus,

“Que Sera, Sera
Whatever will be, will be
The future’s not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be”

Our future is in God’s hands, Jeremiah 29: 11 says,

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

There are still things I wonder like how can a person see a sunrise, the sky is declaring God’s glory, yet, some do not believe there is a God!

Beloved, I wonder where you are in your relationship with God? I wonder if you have felt like me that the choices you made were beyond God’s forgiveness?

In Tracie Miles’ book, Your Life Still Counts in the second chapter she asks if we have played the wonder game.

“Have you found yourself playing the wonder game?

Wondering who you really are.

Wondering if you are forgivable.

Wondering if you are worthy.

Wondering if you are loved or lovable

Wondering if what someone did to hurt stole your value.

Wondering if you are good enough person, wife, mom, employee, boss, sister, daughter, friend.

Wondering if you measure up at all, in any area of life.

Wondering if your life counts for something beyond your responsibilities and obligations.”

“Have you ever doubted God’s love, forgiveness, mercy, and grace? Have  you felt you were an exception to God’s promises and unworthy of His gifts of love, forgiveness, mercy and grace?

God wrote the Book of Love, God is the author of our faith, God hung the stars in the sky, God tells the ocean how far it may go, God created the world. Yes, Beloved we can wonder all we want as long as we take our questions to God. God does forgive. We only have to ask for forgiveness.

Tracie Miles just finished a study of her book and her lessons are archived, I am on her Facebook team and there is a group of us reading the book at a slower pace. I would love to have you join us. If you cannot afford a copy of the book and would like one, please private message me on Facebook or send me an email at blessingsrockwell@gmail.com.
