I’ve been adopted as God’s child.

Did you know that an adopted child may not be disowned? Whereas, a biological child can be disowned. God before he made the earth predetermined us as his adopted children.

He predestined us for adoption as His sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of His will, Ephesians 1:5

In Christ, we are adopted as his children. I am his child. I am his beloved child. I can’t be disowned, disinherited, locked out, or not supported. This applies to you also if you accepted Jesus as your savior. How do you do this one asks? In Romans 3:23, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. One must believe he/she is a sinner. Romans 6:23 says,” For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” and that in Romans 10:13, For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  Because of John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Once we accept Christ, we are his children. We are adopted and can never be disowned. The Holy Spirit takes residence within us and identifies us. When we do not how to pray, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us according to Romans 8:26. Beloved, you are loved and adopted by God. Your future is secure. Your inheritance is paid for and heaven is your destination. In Christ, you are free and you are adopted by Christ. Are you thankful that you can’t be disinherited?

“Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.” Romans 8:23
