Five Minute Friday- a time to write for five minutes without editing and correcting. Just a time to write. Then we link with a group of other writers and for me this is an amazing community of writers.

My husband and I have cared for his mom since June, 2012. However in April, his brother will take over our role. I have struggled with our decision to leave where we lived in 2012 many times. However, Doug and I felt it was important to keep his promise to his dad.  Now I am struggling with leaving Doug’s mom.  Have you ever made a promise to someone? When we make a promise, it is important to keep our promises. Sometimes we can tell one’s integrity by one’s commitment to keep one’s promises.

God says in the above verses to keep his commands and we will live. Guard His teachings as apple of your eye. How many of us guard His teachings or commands as the apple of our eye?

Which of God’s promises are you claiming?  ” I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:16.

As we prepare to move, I am  also claiming Isaiah 26:3, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.

Lord, I trust in you. Thank you for this new adventure. Lord, I know you will keep Doug’s mom safe. Lord, I am asking to keep that perfect peace you promise because I want to be steadfast in my love  as I trust in you.

Stop.

Keep

I joined you from Five Minute Friday. Those are great verses to hold on to anytime, especially in great times of change. Jumping over to your sight for the first time, I am unsure of your story, but it does sound like you and are husband are very faithful to keep your promises, even in the places where they are hard and alter so much of your life. Thanks for sharing. Blessings to you.
