This Little Light of Mine I’m Going To Let It Shine a song sang as a child and I teach as a Sunday School teacher. Our inner light shines as we witness to others about God’s love. In this 14th day of adoration, I adore God and Jesus as the Light of the World.
Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” John 8:12
The Pharisees replied, ” You are those claims about yourself! Such a testimony is not valid.” John 8: 13
Jesus said, “These claims are valid even though I make though I make them about myself. For I know where I am going, but you don’t know this about me. You judge me by human standards, but I do not judge anyone. I am one witness, and my Father who sent me is the other.” John 8: 14,19

Beloved where do you need to let God’s light shine? Is there a habit of gossip in you life, the light of God shining will bring this habit to an end. Is there a habit of telling half-truths, the light of God shining will bring this to an end. Is there a friendship that could use the light of Jesus to shine its love on? Do you have a fear that needs God’s light to shine to figure out the truth?what is the lie you are believing? 2 Timothy 1:7
Father God, Thank you for being the Light of the World and giving us your Son as the Light of the World. Thank you that when we walk into a dark room a light dispels the darkness and your truth dispels the darkness for those of us who believe in Jesus. Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. You are the Light of the World. In Jesus’ name Amen
