For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. What will it profit a man if he gains the wholeworld, yet loses or forfeits his very self?  If anyone is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.… Luke 9:24-26

My time has been very busy this last few two weeks with a creativity flare of sewing. Sometimes if you do not do something for a while you lose the ability to do it, like in my brain I know how to start an intravenous line but you may not want me to start one on you since I haven’t done this for ten years. However, this last two weeks, I made scarves and doll clothes because I did not lose my ability to sew. Also, I explored crocheting and I can still do this task. All of this to say when you are working full-time, there are not enough hours in  a day to do all the things I want to do. I lose sleep over these things. So I had to choose. Granddaughter’s birthday on the 17th of June and I made doll clothes and scarves for a friend. Using this other part of creativity has been good for me bringing a want to return to my writing. I have always looked at the above verse as a riddle. Whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. However, if do not acknowledge Jesus as my savior will he acknowledge me? A young girl at Columbine High questioned by the shooter at the school if she believed in Jesus, she said, “YES.” She died that day. Had she said no and lived what would her life had been like? Micheal W. Smith writes about her in this song. This Is Your Time

Beloved, the verse above shares we are never to be ashamed of the gospel, use every part of your creativity– serve the Lord.

This took longer than 5 minutes to write.

I love that you were taking time to be creative in other ways. The writing will come. Sometimes we need the break. My youngest son turned 13 on the 17th and we celebrated him. Have a blessed week.
