May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

I gave up on New Year’s Resolutions many years ago because I would break the resolution such as the diet shortly after the new year or stop exercising because of sore muscles. Do you relate to what I am saying? However, I have done very well choosing #OneWord365 .  I am choosing this year the word HOPE. I want Hope to be the driving force in my life right now. .

The first reason for the word hope is that for the last six months, I have worked with Dr. Michelle Bengtson as her Prayer Administrator. She has written a book #Hope Prevails.  Dr. Michelle says, “Hope Prevails: Insights from a Doctor’s Personal Journey Through Depression” will be released by Baker/Revell Publishers next summer.” This book on hope is an important book and I am going to help launch the book. We have been praying for everything from the editing, endorsements, to the sales, prayer for the woman that will read this book. I have high hopes for God’s favor on this book. Will you join me in praying for this book’s success?

The second reason for the word hope is for personal growth in my relationship with Christ that I will be able to share with each of you. As I read God’s word, pray, study, journal and listen to the Holy Spirit I am praying and hoping to be filled with all joy and peace because I do trust in him. May each one of us overflow with the hope of the power of the Holy Spirit. Beloved, what are you choosing to do to grow in your relationship with Christ.

The last reason for the word hope is Honesty, Obedient, Prayer, and Earnest Effort is all God wants from me.  Will you ask the Lord what your word for 2016 is?

In 2002 the Lord planted HOPE deep in my soul. Hope is my LIFE oneword! And, Romans 15.13 is the scripture He gave me. I love the way He threads Himself in and around His kids. I leave you with a blessing for 2016…
May the God of all HOPE fill you all JOY and PEACE in believing so that you may abound in HOPE by the power of His Holy Spirit.

I love that you are looking forward to “hope” for the coming year. I’m not sure what the Lord has planned for me. I’m almost afraid to accept any of the words that have crossed my mind. Still waiting and praying.
