Psalm 119 W5D4

W5D4-REF

S I hate double-minded people, but I love your law. You are my refuge and my shield. I have put my hope in your word. Away from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commands of my God!

O The Psalmist declares hating double minded people. He declares his love for God’s word, and his dependence on God as his refuge and shield. He places his hope in God’s word. He renounces evil and the evildoers. He keeps the commands of God. His hope in God keeps the evildoers away from him.

A Do you hate double-minded people, evil, and evildoers? How do you recognize evildoers and double-minded people? Whom do you put your hope in? Do you memorize God’s word, is God your refuge and shield? Do you keep the commands of God? One way to do this is to put on the full armor of God every single day. Can you name the full armor of God?

P. Father God, help me recognize evil doers and double-minded people. Help me to put on the full armor every day. Let me put my hope in you as you are God. You are my shield and refuge. Your word is holy and it protects me. Please Lord keep us safe. In Jesus name. Amen.
