Five Minute Friday

A time to write for five minutes on the same word with no concern about grammar free writing and then linking with beautiful writers.

Quiet

“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”

Mark 1:35 says,” Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.”  Beloved, Jesus, our Lord and Savior needs time alone to be quiet before God to recharge and renew. If He needed time, why do we procrastinate and not take the time to be quiet before the Lord?

I have to admit, being quiet before the Lord is one of the hardest things for me to do. First, finding the place, for me there is a barrier in finding a place. Also , I know you will find this hard to believe but I have trouble just being quiet and listening. However when I take part in the quiet, the rewards are great. In my soul there is peace and I receive confirmation to what God is asking of me.

Beloved, have a journal and your bible, think on a verse, remain quiet. In the stillness, if you sense God asking you to do something write it in your journal. Sometimes I just write, I love you, Diana.

Beloved, will you start today with daily quiet time?

So true! Jesus needed time for quiet too. If he needed it, then we must need it too. Great post. I’m over in the #7 spot this week.
