When your dread comes like a storm And your calamity comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you. Proverbs 1:27

Storms of life visit us like physical storms in life. My mom wary of storms standing on the front porch watching the gray clouds in the sky. Rain and thunder claps seen and heard.  Looking for that funnel cloud that signals only one thing a tornado. Beloved, what is the tornado in your life right now?  Perhaps, you have been asked for a divorce or you are close to signing the divorce papers. Perhaps, your hours have been cut or you are working to many hours. Perhaps, you need to move or find a new job or you are battling a new diagnosis? Perhaps you do not feel very close to the Lord.

My mom’s solution to the storm she would send us to the basement for all kinds of fun. When it was safe and the storm has passed we would rejoin life. I know that each of us is in a different place in our storm but God is with us in our storm.
