“Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him. Don’t participate in the things these people do. For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.” Ephesians 5: 6-9

Our world seems to be upside down. The words in Ephesians 5: 6 are great warnings, don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse sin. However, we live in a world where sin’s disregarded not excused. As Christians, don’t take part in sin for once you were in darkness, but now you have the light from the Lord. So live as people of light. According to the verses above people of the light live according to what is good and right and true. What makes it possible is the Holy Spirit and He gives us power to live free.

Have you ever made wrong choices? I’ve made wrong choice along this life’s journey. I ran from God at one time putting God on the back burner of my life mainly because I thought he should have answered my prayers the way I wanted the answers on my time-table. Beloved, God is good all the time and all the time He is good. God knows when we are angry with him. God doesn’t always answer our prayers with a yes, sometimes the answer is wait. Sometimes, the answer is found in 2 Corinthians 12:9, “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

If you have made a wrong choice, we have 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

So how can we continue to live and walk in the light. Once again, walk daily with Jesus. Additionally, as we approach one of the important days of our history making in the nation this next week, as a nation we need to pray, that the American people will vote. Voting is a privilege.

Life Lesson: God is good, the light of God is life and that is good and true.

    Song: Trust and Obey

Father God, when we walk with you in the light of your word we are so fortunate to have the Holy Spirit to go before us and show us the way. You are the most amazing God. You gave us your son, and the Holy Spirit to make sure and enable us to be able to walk and to trust and obey. We pray for our nation and we ask that your perfect will prevail. Give us hope and peace. Provide for us peace for our country, we ask this in Jesus’ name Amen.
