    Five Minute Fridays

    Eat, eat, eat

    Snickers

It is Friday, a time to meet with the girls and write on a word for five minutes. The word today is EAT. I used to teach Sunday school and I immediately thought of the song “I like to eat, eat, eat, apples and bananas. Of course, I thought of my own journey with food, when I’d eat, eat, eat. I’d eat whether I was glad, happy, mad, or sad. Until I made a rock solid commitment to God, I’d never overeat again. In 2012, the journey began, now in 2016, the race started with snickers and Cheetos and now the finish line is sensible small meals and I weigh 118. The Lord provides us a crown for the good work and our faith.

For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on the crown of righteousness is laid up for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but to all who crave His appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7

Let’s run the race and watch what we eat.
