    31 Day Writings

    Almost

    Diana_31DaysFreeWriting_Day31(Almost)

I almost did not finish the 31 days of writing in October this years. I gave up several times but just as I would give up an encouraging comment would come via my e-mail and I would catch up. I would like to give thanks to each one of you that read this series of words that tie together in my soul from Holy Spirit. As I ponder the words, I think back to the journey where we were going to walk side by side, sharing our prayers and praises of God.

Have you ever praised the Lord through the alphabet? The Holy Spirit whispers and woo’s us. He prays for us when we can’t pray for ourselves. He is the gentle wind in the turning leaves of the fall trees. He is the gentle nudge that prompts you to a promise in God’s Holy Word. He is the unsung hero of the trinity.

“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.… John 14: 15-17

Without Jesus redeeming work on the cross, I would not be writing. Beloved without Christ, where would you be?

Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. Hebrews 9:22

I almost did not finish this race but I did. Today’s the last day of the challenge of writing five minutes for 31 days of October. I almost quit but I didn’t quit because of the Lord and you, beloved.

Beloved, God loves you so much. What is God asking you to finish? Philippians 2:16

Hold firmly to the word of life; then, on the day of Christ’s return, I will be proud that I did not run the race in vain and that my work was not useless.
