We completed the Psalm 119 study and for eight weeks we looked at the longest Psalm in God’s Holy Word. At Love God Greatly we are between studies, and we start Galatians September 7. I really did not have much feedback so I do not know whether you participated in reading Psalm 119 with me.  I enjoyed the SOAP method so I felt like if I was leading a group on Facebook why not share here. I am praying about whether to include the study of Galatians on my blog. I really feel we need to be in the word of God daily. So there is an interim study on Christ in the Old Testament Offerings. Today I will share about the Burnt Offering. Reading Leviticus 1: 1-17 and Leviticus 6: 8-13 SOAP  Leviticus 1:3-4 and Leviticus 6: 1-13

S- If the offering is a burnt offering from the herd, you are to offer a male without defect. You must present it at the entrance to the tent of meeting so that it will be acceptable to the Lord. You are to lay your hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted on your behalf to make atonement for you. The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest is to add firewood and arrange the burnt offering on the fire and burn the fat of the fellowship offering on it. The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out.

O The burnt offering had to be a male and without any blemishes or defect. One would place a hand on the head and then the sins of the person would be transferred to the animal making an atonement for sin. The fire must be kept burning. The instructions are repeated that the fire must not go out. Christ is the perfect, blameless, sacrifice and in 2 Corinthians 5:21 states, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

A Jesus is the perfect substitute for our sins. He was the last Adam born spiritually and physically alive. He was God incarnate. He died on the cross and defeated death by being raised from the death. Is Jesus your savior? When you have sinned, do you go to your prayer alter and offer a prayer of renewal, and then just as the Priests, you continue to praise Him on a frequent basis? Do you offer a sacrifice of praise? Will you serve Jesus on a daily basis?

P Father God, you are the most amazing Heavenly Father, you provided the ultimate sacrifice by giving us your Son. I am so thankful for Jesus He is the perfect sin offering. Lord let me praise you and keep the fire burning. Fill me with the Holy Spirit. I pray for those reading this that they will accept Jesus as their Savior. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Beloved, Tracie Miles says, “With great faith and obedience come great blessings and miracles.” Do you believe this statement? Part of my obedience is reading God’s word and praying. I am blessed. My prayer for you is that you feel God’s love and blessings.
