    “When you make a vow to the LORD your God, be prompt in fulfilling whatever you promised him. For the LORD your God demands that you promptly fulfill all your vows, or you will be guilty of sin. Deuteronomy 23:21

    Are you fashionably late to appointments or are you prompt? What does it look like to make a vow and then promptly fulfill the vow? I had a friend whose son was fighting a rare cancer and she loved oatmeal cookies, she made a deal with God that if God would heal her son she would never eat oatmeal cookies again. Her son’s healed and to this day she hasn’t had an oatmeal cookie. Do I think this kind of vow cured her son? I don’t know but she promptly followed through. We need to be careful with vows. We need to be prompt with our time. And to just keep putting one foot in front of the other
