Lord, We serve an everlasting God, He gives us newness in live. We walk in obedience. His love is unfailing and you are unchanging. He is the giver of life. We are Holy because You are Holy.

The writing prompt is “enough” for Suzanne Ellers, Live Free Thursday Link Up. I am at my father’s house so my time of writing has not been enough.

A Call to Rebuild the Temple
Now therefore, thus says the LORD of hosts, “Consider your ways! “You have sown much, but harvest little; you eat, but there is not enough to be satisfied; you drink, but there is not enough to become drunk; you put on clothing, but no one is warm enough; and he who earns, earns wages to put into a purse with holes.”Thus says the LORD of hosts, “Consider your ways!… Haggai 1: 5-7

The prophet Haggai is used by the Lord to present a warning what happens in the heart affects every aspect of the life. “Consider your way!” The Israelites were selfish. They lost God’s blessings. The Israelites challenged to look at their selfish ways. God was not enough for the Israelites. Is God enough for you? God is good all the time, even when bad things happen.

Lysa TerKeurst writes in “What Happens When Women Walk in Faith,’  God is calling you to live out His dreams for you and part of the dream is to lead.” She encourages, “As we seek to believe God like never before, we will set an example for others to follow.” Beloved, God is at work around us and He invites us to join Him.

In Chapter 12 of this book, Lysa shares that perhaps your reaction that God wants to use you is, “I’m not ______________enough.” Moses had his doubts about leading the Israelites out of Egypt. But before we are to hard on Moses, Lysa shares, have you ever told God, “I’m not qualified, I’m not educated enough, I’m not old enough, I’m too old. I’m not wealthy enough, I’m not smart enough, I’m not bold enough, I’m not organized enough.”

Beloved, we are loved by God. He made us in His image. I love God because He first loved me.

What do you do with those feelings of inadequacy? Do you have trouble believing you are enough? Will you look in the mirror every day for a week and say, I am fearfully and wonderfully made?

Father God, You are awesome, You are the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Lord, I come to you with these feelings on being inadequate. I give you these feelings and I ask that you replace those feelings with the truth that I am enough. I am enough as your daughter, I am enough as a mom, I am enough as an employee, I am enough. Thank you that in Christ I am free to be your daughter, a minister of reconciliation, your beloved child.
