Beloved, spending time with God writing, reading His word, and spending time studying two books Becoming More Than A Good Bible Study Girl and Fervent increasing my love for God this week.

Whispers from God the week, He reminded me of this promise in Isaiah 40:31

but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

I do not know about you but sometimes I need my strength renewed. I have no problem placing my hope in the Lord. I have faith, trust, and I love the Lord, this verse promises that I will soar on wings like eagles. Have you ever watched the regal birds fly? They effortlessly glide across the sky taking my breath away as I watch. I have tried running when I was younger but I did grow weary, this verse says when we hope in the Lord we will not grow weary with our service, we will serve with a freshness of being able to walk and serve and not be faint. Beloved, when tired and helpless, God will renew your strength and your hope. Just claim this verse and ask.

Hearing his whispers as I read Lysa TerKeurst book, Becoming More Than A Good Bible Study Girl, she shared, ‘God never intended for us to rely on others for our sense of well-being. He equips and provides a sense of well-being.  Are you a self-feeders of God’s word? Three things we need to do when we read and study the Bible: pray, discover the context, and read the passage phrase by phrase. She shares it is so important to have a quiet time. Beloved, I hope I am a part of your quiet time. Additionally Priscilla Schirer, in Fervent, the message is clearly a call to pray. “prayers personalized, strategic, powerful prayers built on the promises of God.

Beloved, your mission should you choose to accept the mission is pray this prayer from Ephesians.  Paul writes to the church of Ephesus, study it phrase by phrase, then pray the scripture again.

I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you spiritual wisdom and revelation in your growing knowledge of him–since the eyes of your heart have been enlightened–so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, what is the wealth of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the incomparable greatness of his power toward us who believe …. Ephesians 1: 17-19a

Father God, thank you for your whispers this week. Thank you for Jesus Christ. You are the Father of glory. I pray that you will give us spiritual wisdom. King Solomon asked only for wisdom and you gave him wisdom and wealth. Protect us from making the mistake of King Solomon loving the world too much. I pray that you will give us knowledge of you.  Enlightened the eyes of our hearts so that we may know the hope of God’s calling. You are the hope of my calling. Thank you for your greatness and our inheritance. I love you, Lord.
