Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
Jesus’ very popular and he comforts his disciples in John 14, he had just assured them that he’s preparing a place for them in heaven. And that he would come back for them. This really went over their heads because they were expecting an earthly kingdom. They thought Jesus would become King of Jews now than not in the future. So when they realize that is not the plan, Thomas asks, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going so how can we know the way.” John 14:5 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
Phillip questions Jesus and answers his questions in John 14: 9-13. The world would have you believe that there are other ways to God. Per the Bible Study For Life, Fall 2017, Mormonism believes Jesus’ the first spirit-child born to humanity’s heavenly parents. Jehovah’s Witnesses believes a spirit-creature created by God who later came to earth as a man. Islam believes Jesus’ a highly revered prophet, but He was not the Son of God. Hinduism believes Jesus’ a man who reached “God-consciousness.”
Beloved, God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit are the triune God. Jesus says to Phillip, anyone who has seen me has seen the Father in verse 10. We can’t be good enough, we can’t be spiritual, we can’t go to heaven based on the fact our parent’s a Christian, each person has to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
When did you accept Jesus as your savior?
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. John 3: 16-17
