30 Days of Thankfulness -Day 30

Today is the last day of November. Where has the time gone? It seems like the days fly by now. As you know, I came out of retirement and have gone back to work. On this day, I asked for the day off and used some paid time off. I am most thankful for days that I can catch up with the various projects I am doing.

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you. Philippians 1:3. NKJV.

On this day, however, I spent time with friends. Karen and I met in 2019 at Bible Study Fellowship, and today we introduced our husbands. We have bonded over the years because we love God. We were in the same BSF class, but since returning to work, I am in the Monday night class, and she is in the day class.  But we are studying God’s Word, and we pray for one another.

I am so thankful for friends. The Apostle Paul wrote to those he loved. The art of letter writing is not as popular as it was when I was younger. Cell phones have added to this because there is no charge for long-distance like there used to be in the past. We wrote letters to our loved ones. Karen and I are in touch several times a week through texting. Another BSF buddy is Judy, and I know she is praying for me.

Another person I am in touch with is my friend Jenny, and we play a game of Word together. Then there is Barbie; Barbie makes all my scripture memes, for which I am thankful that she is so creative. I interact with Marylee, Nancy, Michelle, Crissy, Shannan, Rachelle, and Kath over the internet and by texting. Not to mention the new friends I have at work and those in my BSF class and Proverbs31. groups.

So on this last day of November, I want to say thank you to God for friendships. We have the blessing of being loved by people we are not related to, and I am thankful for this blessing.

Will you reach out today and tell a friend that she is essential in your life?

Father God, thank you for family and friends. Thank you for loving us and giving us the ability to love others. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
