    Christmas Prayer

As we light Christ’s candle today and celebrate the birth of Jesus, I wonder where you are today in your walk with God?

God’s purpose for creating man was companionship, He said in Genesis, “Let us make man in our image.”  He met with Adam and Eve in the cool of the day according to Genesis 3:8.  However, sin entered the world creating a need for a savior. Jesus is our savior. He came to earth a baby, perfect without sin, to be the perfect sacrifice. Hence we have a need for a savior. Every person has to make this decision, is Jesus their savior? Well, he is mine. God’s purpose at Christmas is to have a relationship with you.

Beloved, if God’s purpose is for us to be in a relationship with him, then our walk needs to reflect being in the word and daily prayer.

Father God, I praise you. Thank you that you are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I praise you for your plan of redemption. Thank you that when sin entered the world you had a redemptive plan. I pray Lord for those of us that are missing a loved one today. I pray for families that are struggling to make ends meet. I pray for those that are with their loved ones right now that they may have a joyous time. I pray for us that are lonely that we embrace our time with you. I ask for your peace and hope for each one reading this post. I praise you and thank you for my hurting heart that I honor you above all else.  Father God, I pray  Romans 15: 13, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”  In Jesus name, Amen.

What do you need to do to have a daily walk with Jesus?
