    Time Change

Roll the clocks forward, roll the clocks back, spring forward, fall back, the trouble with the time change in the fall is that it is dark at 5:00 p.m. However, when that clock returns to regular time, my body responds well to fall back one hour time. You see, I am one of the weird people in the world that does not do well with the time change to Day Light Savings Time. Let me introduce myself, I am a person that grieves the time change. In January, I start thinking, soon we will have to change the clocks forward. May I let you in on a secret that I take the last week of October for vacation because that last week is miserable getting up and it still being dark at 6:00 a.m. I thought of obtaining counseling for this condition but I would want a counselor who understands this phenomena. Why pay money to someone who would tell you to just get over your obsession with time?

King Solomon wrote about time. Ecclesiastes 3.

There is a time for everything,

and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,

a time to plant and a time to uproot,

a time to kill and a time to heal,

a time to tear down and a time to build,

a time to weep and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn and a time to dance,

a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,

a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,

a time to search and a time to give up,

a time to keep and a time to throw away,

a time to tear and a time to mend,

a time to be silent and a time to speak,

a time to love and a time to hate,

a time for war and a time for peace.

Grateful that I have time, we all have twenty-four hours in a day, time to work, time to be with family, time to be with friends. Daily in quiet time I am asking the Lord what are my marching orders? To be kind, to pray for someone, to mail a card to cheer ones day, to call a person, all kinds of orders come filtering through my time with the Lord. Beloved, how are you spending you time? Is there time for quiet time? Is there prayer time?  is there time for your family? is there time to read your Bible?

So for me the time with the Lord is sweetest in the morning after we are in regular time, the sun is shining at 6:00 a.m. The only problem is I am ready for bed at 6:00 p.m. because it is so dark outside. Can you relate?

What is God asking you to do with your time?
