My husband built a barrier wall in the back yard and the cornerstone was off so he had to start over this is how important is the cornerstone. The cornerstone according to Wikipedia is the most important stone to a building.

    Jesus is our cornerstone.

    The Living Stone
you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For this is contained in Scripture: “BEHOLD, I LAY IN ZION A CHOICE STONE, A PRECIOUS CORNER stone, AND HE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.”This precious value, then, is for you who believe; but for those who disbelieve, “THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS BECAME THE VERY CORNER stone,” I Peter 2: 5-7
Beloved, we are living stones being built up for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
Jesus is rejected by some, that is when in the analogy the building is condemned because the building does not pass inspection. Beloved, Jesus Christ is real. He is the cornerstone. Some will reject him, others will accept him. It is not for us to decide, it is for us to present the plan of salvation. The foundation can not be built if you do not start with the cornerstone.
Our relationship with Jesus is much like building a wall, we need the cornerstone. If we have the cornerstone, our relationship will only grow stronger which is what happens when a foundation or a wall has a foundation that has a strong cornerstone.
    Beloved, is Jesus your cornerstone?
