James 1:2-4

    31 Day Writings Bible Study

    Days 17-19 Advent

By lighting candles and reading Bible verses, we are reminded about the meaning of Christ’s birth and become more excited about his coming in the past, in the future, and in our own lives.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness. Galatians 5:23

The result of having the Holy Spirit in our lives is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and faithfulness. The third candle is pink. Pink is the color for JOY. Yesterday at work, I experienced a Christmas wonder, I wish I could share what happen with you but because of the confidentiality I am unable to share details. But as I did my job, the outcome was better than I ever dreamed it would be and it was a God moment. All I could do was share that this was an answer to prayer. Pure joy.

What does joy mean? a feeling of great pleasure and happiness. “tears of joy.”

An acrostic for JOY is Jesus, Others, and You.

Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. John 16:24

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1:2-4

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13

Do you struggle with people who are joyful? Christmas is a time of joy but you may be struggling with working two jobs? Perhaps there is harmony most of the time but for the last week everyone has been arguing. Beloved, Joy can be yours. Confess, return to the Lord. He is here.

Tomorrow we start the candle of Love. Blessings.

P.S. sorry for combing days but I have been sick.
