    Galatians 3: 2, 5

S I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?

O Paul challenges how they received the Spirit, by works or by faith after hearing.

A When did you ask Jesus to be your Savior? The indwelling Holy Spirit testifies you are God’s child, will you that God for His Son and for the Comforter?

P Father God, thank you for your Son and the Holy Spirit. Help me to be strong and give a strong testimony for the hope I have that is confirmed by the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’s name, Amen.

    Galatians 3: 8-9

S Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.

O God justified the Gentiles by faith, He prepared Abraham and shared, all nations would be blessed through Abraham. When we rely on faith we are blessed as Abraham the man of faith. Abraham looked to the cross, we look back at the cross with the same faith.

A When is your quiet time? Do you read the Old and New Testament? Do you know Jesus in the free pardon of sin? Who is Abraham and why is he called man of faith?

P Father God thank you for the scriptures, thank you for Abraham the man that looked toward the cross, he was the father of the nations and faith. Thank you for the Holy Spirit that enables us to read the Scripture. Help me to be faithful. In Jesus Name, Amen

    Galatians 3: 11, 14

S Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.” He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

O Paul shares we are justified (just as if I had never sinned) through faith, we are righteous through faith, and anyone who relies on the law or works is not embracing what Christ did on the cross. God redeemed us, the blessings promised through Abraham was refused by the Jews when Jesus started his earthly ministry. With the Jews refusing to believe in Christ the good news through the Holy Spirit to the Gentiles.

A I am justified. Are you justified? I am redeemed. Are you redeemed? I believe in Jesus Christ as my savior. Do you believe in Jesus Christ? The righteous live by faith, do you live by faith?

P Father God, I love you Lord. Thank you that I am justified because of Christ death on the cross. You are redemption and righteousness. Thank you that you give us the ability to be righteousness of Christ and redeemed by Christ. Thank you for this gift. For those we know that have not been justified by Christ blood, we pray for their salvation. For those that have not embraced that they are redeemed, please let them feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

    Galatians 3: 16, 18-19

SThe promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to your seed,” meaning one person, who is Christ. For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on the promise; but God in his grace gave it to Abraham through a promise. Why, then, was the law given at all? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was given through angels and entrusted to a mediator. A mediator, however, implies more than one party; but God is one.

O God gave grace and salvation a covenant to Abraham through the promise that he would be a great nation, that salvation would be his by his belief in God. The law was added to point the way to cross, the law was trusted through God.

A Do you know the promises of God? Abraham so trusted God he was willing to sacrifice his only son, God made a covenant with Abraham and this gave us our right to be God’s children. Are you God’s child? Have you accepted Jesus as your Savior?

P Father God, that you that you gave your promise to Abraham in a covenant. The law was given so that we would look to the fulfillment of the law which is Jesus. When the law could not be fulfilled by obedience because no one not even one is good enough except Jesus was perfect, his death on the cross, paid for my sins. Thank you God for saving me. Thank you Jesus for being my mediator between the law and God. In Jesus name. Amen

    Galatians 3: 24-25

S So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.

O The law pointed us to Christ because no one can keep the law. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life. When we accept Christ we are justified, just as if we had never sinned. Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the evidence of things not seen. We are not guardians of the law, we are guardians of faith in Jesus Christ.

A Do you believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Sin equals death, but we have the free pardon of sin when we accept Jesus as our life line. Have you accepted Jesus as your savior in the free pardon of sin?

P Father God, I praise you for your plan that you gave your son so that I can be forgiven of my sins. I am in awe that my faith in Jesus allows me to be Justified. Forgive me where I fail you. In Jesus name. Amen

    Galatians 3: 28-29

S There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

O We are one in Christ Jesus. Just as Abraham looked to the cross with faith we look back at the cross and are heirs, grafted in as an heir of the covenant promise.

A Do you belong to Jesus? Do you know how valuable it is to be an heir in Christ? When you meet someone who doubts do you have a reason for your hope?

P Father God, thank you for the gift of Jesus. We are all one in Christ Jesus. I am in awe of your mercy and love. In Jesus name, Amen.
