S I know, Lord, that your laws are righteous, and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me. May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant. Let your compassion come to me that I may live, for you law is my delight. May the arrogant be put to shame for wronging me without cause; but I will meditate on your precepts.
O- The word is called laws and precepts. The prayer of the Psalmist is that God’s unfailing love will comfort him. That God’s compassion comes to us so that we delight in the Lord. God’s compassion shames the wrong doers.
A Do you apply God’s word in times when you are afflicted with illness? Do you know that His unfailing love is there to comfort you? God’s compassion is new every morning. God’s law is my delight. God puts to shame the arrogant. Do you meditate on God’s word?
P Father God your laws are righteous, and faithful. You in your faithfulness have allowed this affliction to occur. Lord, send your unfailing love to comfort me. I ask for your compassion to surround me so that I will delight in your law. Lord, keep me from arrogance. And let the arrogant be put to shame those who have wronged me. Lord let me meditate on your word.

Beloved, these have always been hard verses for me to read. How does a loving God let us go through illness, the Apostle Paul asked for the thorn in his side to be removed three times. The thorn was not removed and the conclusion was that God’s grace is sufficient. Beloved, do you embrace that God is good all the time? I have a sweet friend in the hospital would you pray for Michelle Bingston. A virus that has attacked her body and is causing her vision problems. I am trusting God for healing in her life. As for me, headaches still plague me yet I am claiming God’s grace is sufficient to meet my needs.
