Philippians 2:7

    31 Day Writings Bible Study

    Day 9-Advent

The God of peace be with you all. Amen.Romans 15-13

Lighting the hope candle and the peace candle illuminates the room, vividly bringing hope to my life as I continue to read Luke 9 and the advent verses about Jesus Christ.

Tonight I stopped at the store to buy some boxes so that I can wrap the presents for Christmas. Jesus is the ultimate peace offering and best gift God could give us. Jesus chose to give up his divine privileges and was born a human being. Philippians 2:7

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:14-16

Why was the wrapping so important? Because Jesus is no stranger to our struggles. He has experienced deep loneliness and a betrayal of a friend. He was publicly shamed, misunderstood, and falsely accused. This tiny baby is our savior. Because of the wrapping, Jesus brings peace to us. He gives peace in every situation.

Beloved, has Jesus wrapped His arms around you and filled you with peace?
