The older I become, the more aware I am that life is short, time is fleeting. The mission is not impossible, it is being available for God. I will never forget reading in Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby that God is already at work around us, he  invites us to take part in the mission field in our own sphere of influence.

    Wherever He Leads I’ll Go.

I can hear my Savior calling,
I can hear my Savior calling,
I can hear my Savior calling,
“Take thy cross and follow, follow Me.

“I’ll go with Him thro’ the garden,
I’ll go with Him through the garden,
I’ll go with Him thro’ the garden,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way.

I’ll go with Him thro’ the judgment,
I’ll go with Him thro’ the judgment,
I’ll go with Him thro’ the judgment,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way.

He will give me grace and glory,
He will give me grace and glory,
He will give me grace and glory,
And go with me, with me all the way.

Where He leads me I will follow,
Where He leads me I will follow,
Where He leads me I will follow,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way.

In 1995 sitting in a pew at church a light shone down on me reading the bulletin, Operation Nazareth. Global Missions taking a group of lay people to Israel sharing their testimony. Knowing beyond a doubt that my clean shoes were to become dusty I based my testimony on Psalm 103: 1-5 . Two accepted Christ based on my testimony.

Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins

and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things

so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

In 1998, asked to go to Tata, Hungary helping with a children’s program for a Missionary Group. Usually the mom’s had to watch the children but our group of children leader’s presented a full children’s program for ages two to twelve. Shoes became dusty on Sunday when we reunited with a host family and one of the children began clapping his hands to a song we had taught during the week.

Beloved, how is the Lord working in your life? Looking back over my life, God is at work every day. Beloved the key is to be willing. Psalm 51: 11-13

Create in Me a Clean Heart, O God
Do not cast me away from Your presence And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners will be converted to You.…

So how does this look? How do you take dusty shoes and get dirty feet? In addition to willingness, which in the first for letters is the word is the question is Will I?

Will I meet with God daily, pray, read His word and join Him in His plans for the day? Yes I am willing. Jesus said in the Great Commission Matthew 28: 19-20

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Dusty shoes become dirty feet when we have willing hearts that listen to the Master’s call.

Where He leads me I will follow,
Where He leads me I will follow,
Where He leads me I will follow,
I’ll go with Him, with Him all the way.
