psalm 103:1-5

    I Give Him Me

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”

Jesus became my savior when I was eleven years old, since becoming an adult serving God daily is my goal. My résumé reads Sunday School teacher, Three Year Old Church Time Leader, Bible Study Fellowship Discussion Leader, Freedom in Christ Encourager and most recently On-line Bible Study Group Leader. In my career as a nurse, I seek to serve God first as he is my “real boss.” [Tweet “Daily, I surrender all to Jesus do you? He is the boss of my career. Is he your boss?”]

Have you ever heard the Lord saying, “This is the way, walk in it?” Isaiah 30:27  While sitting at church in April 1995, an opportunity to go to Israel and share my testimony with Global Missions Fellowship. I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that I was to go on this trip.  While in Israel, knocking on doors in Nazareth, sharing my testimony with the first couple they responded to my testimony based on Psalm 103: 1-5 . Sophia and Jarius prayed and accepted Jesus as their savior.

Bless the LORD, O my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits; Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you with loving-kindness and compassion; Who satisfies your years with good things. So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.

Her name Angela she knew of Jesus but she needed to settle the ultimate question of who occupies the throne of her heart? We all have a throne in our heart, we decide who sits on that throne. The day I met Angela in Nazareth I drew a heart and inside the heart I placed a throne and I asked her who was sitting on that throne? I shared this verse from 1 Timothy 2:5

For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity–the man Christ Jesus.

Willingly and full of excitement, Angela prayed and asked Jesus to sit on the throne of her heart. Who sits on the throne of your heart?

Fast forward to the present time I am in the emergency room as a case manager, I volunteered to stay for a double shift. A man comes to the emergency department his pain is out of control he doesn’t have long to live. While interviewing him, God’s Holy Spirit shows me that I need to extend God’s compassion and share the gospel message this is what this man really needs. He needs a savior. I introduce him to Christ and then, he even forgave his ex-wife. Of course, I met his discharge planning needs.  Supposedly I was not suppose to work this night or was I? Beloved, do you look for God opportunities? Do you make the most of those opportunities?

Some days the devil wants to mess with my mind that I am worthless but beloved the truth is I am fearfully and wonderfully made according to Psalm 139:14.  Suzie Eller challenge us this week to write about giving our selves to the Lord. Daily I start my day with Psalm 139: 23-24

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Then I ask the Lord for my marching orders, Henry Blackaby in Experiencing God says that God is at work everywhere and all around us and he invites us to join him. [Tweet “Daily, I wait expectantly for the God opportunity to serve him. “] Because “He is my beloved’s and I am His”. I am the daughter of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lord.  In John 10: 14, ““I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me,” He knows our name.

All to Jesus I surrender as I did when I was a child, I am his and he is mine. His banner over me is love. When I am sad, he brings me joy, when I am anxious, he brings me peace, when I am hopeless, he brings me hope. Because I am his daughter. I gave him my heart for an eternity never  to turn back. No Turning Back.  Beloved, if the Lord is not your savior, and you know you are a sinner, please confess and ask Jesus to come into your life. Pray a very simple heart-felt prayer. Father God, I believe that you sent your one and only son Jesus to die on the cross for me because of my sins. I have sinned in these areas………………… and I am turning away from these areas……………….. and I want to live for you from this day forward. Thank you for the gift of Jesus dying on the cross in my place. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.  Please let me know and I would love to send you a Bible. You can private message me on Facebook @ Diana Manley Rockwell or blessingrockwell@gmail.com
