    Psalm 119 W8D4

    W8D4-REF

S Let me live that I may praise you, and may your laws sustain me. I have strayed like a lost sheep. Seek your servant, for I have not forgotten your commands.

O The Psalmist depends on God, He asks that he live to praise God. God laws are sustaining and eternal. God’s word finds, convicts, searches, forgives and seeks the believer. God’s Holy Spirit quickens the word in our souls. God’s word will not let us go. God’s words convicts and forgives us as believers.

A How important is God’s word to you? Do you meditate on His word? Do you live to be in God’s Word. God’s word gives life, eternal life through Jesus. Jesus became the Word. Would you like Jesus leave the 99 to find the one that is lost? Do you memorize God’s word? Do you recall God’s word? Hiding God’s word prevents one from straying, has there been a time you strayed from God and His word? Will you confess your loss of love for the Word?  Then will you embrace God’s word because God’s commands are life? If you are lost will you return to the Savior?

P Father God, Let me live to praise you. Let your word sustain me. Lord there are times when I lose my way, you never let me stay lost. Thank you for your commands. Thank you for your Holy Spirit that enables me to memorize your word. May I always prefer your word over the world.
