Beloved, surrounded by nature that declares God’s glory. Jesus on Palm Sunday enters Jerusalem as King, many are there and they are praising him, surrounded by those waving palms they worshiping Him. Luke 19: 37-40 shares that if people do not declare praise, nature will.

When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen: “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!” “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”

Opportunity surrounds us each day to share our faith. How do we become more than a good bible study girl? In my current study of Lysa Terkeurst book, Becoming More Than a Good Bible Study Girl, Lysa encourages her readers to be in God’s word daily. She present a phrase by phrase study of God’s word. She asks the question, Are you a Self Feeder? Are you reading God’s word. When we are reading and studying the Bible she says, we need to pray, discover the context, and read the passage phrase by phrase.

In this book, the question, “Why is it so important to have a quiet time?” During my quiet time, I surround myself with His love. Also, I receive my marching orders for the day. Beloved, Lysa shares it is okay to share with the Lord that you are struggling with your quiet time. He will surround you and your efforts will not be in vain. Some suggestions for quiet time, reading your favorite devotional, focusing on a verse, writing out scripture, reading from a one year Bible, writing your prayers, praying out loud, listening to a sermon, or dancing to worship music.
