    Psalm 119 W1D5

    W1D5

Each believer is blessed because we have the word of God. In these verses God’s word is known as: precepts, statutes, commandments, judgments, testimonies, and lastly your word. As believers we are to seek Him, to walk with Him, to keep, to praise, to learn, to take heed, to not wonder, to hide, to rejoice, to meditate, to contemplate, to delight, to not forget, and to not stray from God or His word.

We are instructed in these verses to walk in his ways and we do this by reading and applying God’s word diligently. When we keep God’s word we will not be forsaken, we will be cleansed, we will delight, we will not forget His word or His benefits, we will see wondrous things, we will have reproach removed, and God’s word is as a counselor.

Our memory verse in verse eleven states that if we hide God’s word in our heart we will not sin against God. Will you claim this verse this week? Lastly, God’s word is delightful and when we meditate on His word we are redeemed.

Beloved, the last step in the process of this study is to reflect on the twenty-four verses and summarize or respond to these verses.  So may I ask you, how did you do this week reading these verses? I love the SOAP format. I feel like I really have a grasp of what these verses say and I am responding to hiding God’s word in my heart so I do not sin against God. As I meditate or think about these verses, I am actively seeking God, praising God, rejoicing and contemplating how I can serve God on a daily basis.

How can I pray for you?
