    My name is Diana, not Diane. But I will answer to Diane. My dad said, “Honey, why do you answer to Diane, when your name is Diana?” Studying the book of John through Bible Study Fellowship, in John 10:3

    The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

    I wanted to call my father and tell him that Jesus knew my name is Diana not Diane.

    God often refers to us as sheep. Jesus says in John 10: 11, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep.” In John 10:14-15, “I am the good shepherd, I know my own sheep, and they know me, just as my Father know me and I know the Father. So I sacrifice my life for the sheep.

    Everything I read sheep know the shepherd voice and follow the shepherd’s voice. They are not the brightest of God’s creatures. The very act of shepherding the sheep is a lonely job. King David was a shepherd before he was chosen to be King. Have you ever thought of how when two shepherd met and their sheep intermingled how they were able to get their flock back? The sheep know the voice of their shepherd.

    Beloved, God knows your voice. He is the good shepherd. Are you distant from the Lord? Has the evil one came into the sheep’s pen and robbed you of your faith? Are you struggling with a child with ADHD or Autism? Are you struggling in your marriage? Are you married lonely? Are you single and your wish is to be married? Are you in a relationship that is not honoring God? Perhaps, you need to admit your sins and reconcile with God.

    Psalm 23

    The LORD is my shepherd;

    I have all that I need.

    He lets me rest in green meadows;

    he leads me beside peaceful streams.

    He renews my strength.

    He guides me along right paths,

    bringing honor to his name.

    Even when I walk

    through the darkest valley,a

    I will not be afraid,

    for you are close beside me.

    Your rod and your staff

    protect and comfort me.

    You prepare a feast for me

    in the presence of my enemies.

    You honor me by anointing my head with oil.

    My cup overflows with blessings.

    Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me

    all the days of my life,

    and I will live in the house of the LORD

    forever.

    Yes God has given Jesus as our Good Shepherd. Is he your Good Shepherd?
    If not will you make Him your Good Shepherd so you too can hear his voice and so he will not only know your name but how to spell your name. Hi, my name is Diana.
