    I’m Expecting

    I’m Expecting……. God to do great things.

    I’m expecting God to do great things, to meet your needs physically, mentally, spiritually and financially. My dad’s 90th  birthday is in July and when he prays, he asks God to meet our needs physically, financially and spiritually. I added mentally because the battle of freedom begins with your mind. Beloved, we need threshold thinking. What is a threshold? According to the dictionary, a threshold is:

    a strip of wood, metal, or stone forming the bottom of a doorway and crossed in entering a house or room.
    synonyms: doorstep, doorway, entrance, entry, door, gate, gateway, portal,doorsill

    “the threshold of the church”

    the magnitude or intensity that must be exceeded for a certain reaction, phenomenon, result, or condition to occur or be manifested.

    “nothing happens until the signal passes the threshold”
    When a thought enters your mind, at that moment it is at the threshold of your mind. When the thought enters, we have a choice to act or not to act on the thought. We are to take every thought captive to the Lord.
    We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge
    of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. … 

    What do we need to do with that thought according to this verse? How do we make our thought obedient to Christ. In Romans 12: 1-2 we are not to conform to this world, we are to offer our bodies as living sacrifices.

    Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

    Will you examine your thoughts at the threshold? Will you base your decisions on Philippians 4:8

    Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things. Philippians 4:8

    So, I am expecting God to do great things in our lives. God’s will is good, pleasing and perfect.
