    Go

Our journey continues, have you ever wondered how many of the one hundred twenty that gathered in the upper room were family? Mary the mother of Jesus and his brothers are there, the family members fully believing  that Jesus is God’s son. Reading in Acts 2: 1-4

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tonguesa as the Spirit enabled them.

The gift of the Holy Spirit, the promised Comforter fills each believer, family precious family hear one another in their own dialect. This day each one is given a special power, this indwelling of the Holy Spirit causing awe!

    Stop

Do you realize that we become family when we accept Jesus as our Savior? The Holy Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are children of God. Romans 8: 15-17

For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.

Beloved, is there someone in your family that needs to know Jesus in the free pardon of sin?

Father God, thank you for the Holy Spirit and the empowering of the families that were present on the day of Pentecost. Lord, I pray for the lost family members that are represented. Just as we received the spirit of adoption, we ask for salvation for the family members that do not know Jesus as their savior. Blessings
