Listening to God is one of the most difficult disciplines for me. Psalm 46: 10 says, “Be still and know I am God” In my prayer journal, a section for listening, the best part of having that section is I stop and listen. This is where the whispers from God that I borrowed from my friend Barbie. My day consists of listening to Insight for Living in the morning on my way to work. I usually have time for praise music also. Of course praying in my car is a must. My commute is an hour each way on a good day so I spend my time with the Lord.
Beloved, do you know the difference between conviction and condemnation? Condemnation is from evil and the words you are hearing are usually not of substance and not true. Conviction is from the Holy Spirit and are for growth. This week convicted that my prayer life could use some sprucing up. So I am working nights this weekend, but back to days next Wednesday and I want to get up when my alarm goes off so I can have more time for prayer at home before I go to work. You see I have headaches almost daily a barrier to my getting right up so I asked boldly for relief from the headaches and will ask you to pray for me. I know some of you faithfully pray for me so a big thank you.

Beloved, the whispers from God this week is that He desires a relationship with us. He is available 24/7 but the real question is how available are we?
