    God’s Word Is Active

Do you read God’s word regularly? After reading God’s word, do you study God’s word?

    Active

    Scripture

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. Psalms 19: 14

    Psalm 19

    Thoughts

I’ve read the Bible since I was old enough to read. The Psalmist in Psalm 19 says the law of the Lord is perfect. It is perfect, and the Bible converts the soul. The Bible makes profound things simple.

In verse 8, of Psalm 19 it says the statutes of the Lord are right, His commandments of the Lord is pure and God’s word enlighten the eyes.

    Read with me verses 9-11.

The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

We read them, embrace them, keep them and the reward is great for those of us who read the Bible.

    Conclusion

Awe, Beloved, I wish I had the answers to life’s problems, but I do know that I can do nothing without the love of God and reading His word.

Father God, you are the alpha the omega, the beginning, the end. Your word is active and cuts to the soul of us who read it. Help us apply your word to our lives. In Jesus name, Amen.

Will you read the Bible with me? What are you reading? Becky Tirabassi has a One Year Bible and with it you read Old and New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs daily. She has been reading and praying for over an hour a day for over 25 years. Her testimony is life-changing.  A chronological Bible is also a way to read.
