    Characteristic Nine of a Believer-Godly

Sarah Koontz walking to her car one day having been to the gym longing for a great bible study says to her friend, “Maybe I will just write a bible study.” Her mission in her writing: to inspire others to embrace the story God has inscribed upon your heart. Scripture played a big role in her life. She loves the Lord and claims Ephesians 1: 18-19 as her verse.

“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.” -Ephesians 1:18-19
Sarah Koontz is a passionate storyteller who enjoys using illustrations to communicate deep spiritual truths. Sarah writes to inspire women of all ages to explore the beauty of God’s design. The Bible study on Ephesians, Worthy of the Calling is her study to be released October 16th, she explores Paul’s words to the church of Ephesus. This study is online at https://www.sarahkoontz.com/worthy. Please pre-register now. Sarah Koontz is the definition of a godly woman.
The ninth characteristic of a born-again believer is one who is godly. Godly is defined as devoutly religious; pious. The synonyms are religious, devout, pious, reverent, believing, God-fearing, saintly, holy, prayerful, spiritual, and churchgoing.
When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah. After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked faithfully with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters. Altogether, Enoch lived a total of 365 years. Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more because God took him away. Genesis 5: 21-24
Just as Sarah is walking with God daily and is inviting you to join her in a daily Bible study, Enoch walked faithfully with God for 365 years. Beloved, for 365 years he talked to God in prayer, he read his Bible, he was so faithful that God took him away and he did not face death. When I think of a godly man, I think of Enoch. When I think of a godly woman, I think of Sarah.
Beloved, the ninth characteristic of a born-again believer is one who is godly. This person praying, reading her bible, memorizing God’s word. Being kind and loving are characteristics of one who is godly.
Father God, help each one to step up our game, help us be more faithful. Your word says in 2 Peter 1:3 that Your divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. May we be faithful in being godly daily. In Jesus’ name. Amen
What do you need to add this characteristic in your life to be more godly?
